God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT)
Have you ever been disappointed or angry with God because He did or did not do what you asked Him to do? Disappointment can set in when we don’t understand God’s ways or have His perspective on things.
Sometimes we can look at life as if we were peering through a knot hole in a fence. We only see a snapshot in the span of eternity. We experience both the good and bad, yet we’re unable to see the entire scope of God’s plans from beginning to end. We don’t understand how our present circumstances in life fit into the intricate design of God’s wonderful plan. So with limited visibility we sometimes judge by what we see at the moment. If our present circumstances aren’t good then we may blame God and judge Him as being unfair and unloving.
But God is loving and good no matter what position we find ourselves in. God has said, "I am the LORD, and I do not change.” (Malachi 3:6 NLT) He’s the same loving Father before your situation occurred and He will be the same afterward. So ask the Lord to help you see things the way He sees them. And spend some time worshipping Him. When you take your focus off of your situations and feelings of disappointment and onto Him you’ll find the strength you need to endure even the toughest times!
